Turning career frameworks into real conversations

Designed in collaboration with Tuomas Rinta, Jakub Antalik, Nicole McFadden, Chad Feigenbutz, Rostam Mahabadi, and Spencer Taylor.

Performance reviews often feel vague and disconnected from real growth. Employees want clarity on what's expected. Managers want structure that helps them support development.

At Readymetrics, we built a system where every review is anchored in the company's job leveling framework. Feedback becomes more specific, more fair, and more useful.

Starting with the Profile

The profile view brings everything together. Employees can see upcoming check-ins, development goals, and past feedback in one place.

ReadyMetrics profile view

The profile view makes career growth feel continuous. Everything related to performance and development is easy to access and always up to date.

Creating a Check-in

Check-ins are shared documents between the employee and their manager or coach. The flow is guided and customizable based on role and level.

The check-in creation flow uses lightweight components designed for clarity and speed.

Grounding Feedback in the Framework

Companies can import their job leveling framework into Readymetrics. Competencies become part of the conversation, not just a reference doc.

ReadyMetrics framework integration

Each competency is shown with a progress bar and editable commentary. Employees and managers can reflect directly against the framework during check-ins.

Peer Feedback

A lightweight flow helps teammates share feedback that feels thoughtful, clear, and actionable. Each response is anchored to a specific competency, which keeps it focused and easier to act on.

Prompts are intentionally scoped to guide attention and reduce friction. Writing feedback feels easy, not overwhelming.

Reporting and Visibility

A visual reporting view gives People teams and leaders insight into how growth conversations are happening across the organization.

Each manager's organization shows progress across check-ins, helping teams identify where development is gaining momentum or where support might be needed. The org chart view makes it easy to spot patterns across roles, levels, and reporting lines.

ReadyMetrics reporting dashboard

The summary view highlights growth at a glance. The org chart provides deeper visibility into how teams are progressing, so leaders can support development without adding extra overhead.

Results

Teams using the new system reported clearer expectations and stronger alignment on role progression, more consistent feedback across managers, and less anxiety around performance conversations.
